Necessary products:
flour
2/3 cup flour for cakes
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
½ tsp fine sea salt
1 cup genuine Canadian maple syrup
2/3 cup water
1/3 cup olive oil or melted butter
2 tsp Apple vinegar
1 tablespoon vanilla
Method of preparation:
1. Heat oil or butter in a suitable container (22-23 cm) and fry flour.
2. Stir together fried flour with baking powder, baking soda and salt.
3. In a separate bowl mix the original Canadian maple syrup, water, oil, vinegar and vanilla.
4. Blend the two mixtures and mix until texture is converted into a dough. Careful and adequate mixing is the key to making good dough.
5. Pour mixture into the pan and bake at 180 C for 25-30 min. Carefully watch the degree of roasting. If baking is not enough cake will be pale in color.
6. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes in the tray.
7. You can garnish with seasonal fruit.
