500 g. Psyllium husk
Psyllium husks are the outer husks of the seeds of the white Indian plantain /Plantago Ovata/. They are a rich source of vegetable fiber and regulate the body's digestive functions.
Psyllium Husk has been used for centuries in the ancient Indian Ayurvedic medicine for the overall maintenance of good health and well-being of the body. This ancient knowledge has been proven by modern science and today psyllium is known as one of the most effective sources of plant fiber to support the digestive system.
Psyllium, like other soluble fibers, passes through the small intestine without being completely broken down or absorbed. Instead, it absorbs water and turns into a gel, which has a beneficial effect on constipation, diarrhea, regulates blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol, and supports weight loss and detoxification of the body.
Psyllium Husk is taken with water, juice, yogurt, smoothies. Mix well 1-2 teaspoons with 200 ml of liquid and drink immediately. Make sure all the fiber is well dissolved in the water and there are no lumps left that could cause choking. Drink 1.5 – 2 liters of water per day when taking psyllium husk.
Those allergic to gluten can also accept huska in their menu - it does not contain dangerous ingredients for them. It is said to even soothe the stomach after allergic episodes and neutralize inflammation.
Usage:
1-2 teaspoons of psyllium husk are stirred until completely dissolved in 200 ml of liquid.
