Yuzu Ponzu is a traditional Japanese umami sauce that combines the sharp taste of yuzu citrus fruit juice with naturally made soy sauce and rice vinegar. It can be used as a vinaigrette and is the perfect seasoning for your favorite salads, dressings or as a dipping sauce for gyoza dumplings and vegetable tempura.
Yuzu is an exotic and highly aromatic citrus, highly valued by professional chefs and foodies. It has been used as an ingredient in Japanese cuisine for over a thousand years. The whole fruit is cold-pressed to produce a juice with a unique, complex profile, often described as a combination of lime, lemon, grapefruit and tangerine.
