Coconut milk comes from organic farms in Sri Lanka. Ideal for making curries, soups, sauces, desserts and drinks. It is a very popular ingredient used in Southeast and South Asia.
Coconut milk can be obtained in two ways - from the still unripe fruit or when the nut has already formed. The first is used mostly in the countries of South America, and the second in Southeast Asia - from where the products that can be found in Bulgarian stores come from. The technology itself is extremely simple – the coconut is pressed, first only mechanically, and then two or three more times after heating in warm water. A thicker and thinner flavored liquid is obtained, which is usually mixed and finally diluted with water until it reaches the consistency of milk. The taste is also almost identical, but sweeter and with the characteristic aroma of coconut.
