Manov honey is obtained from the sweet colorless juice "mana" (honeydew) on coniferous and deciduous trees. The time during which the bees collect manna is about two months and begins in mid-summer, when there is no more nectar.

This rare type of honey is dark in color, with medium sweetness, specific aroma and thick consistency. Extremely rich in minerals, amino acids and oligosaccharides compared to other types of honey. The specific humidity, as well as the peculiarities of the climate and the soils, contribute to the Bulgarian manna honey being considered one of the highest quality and purest in the world.
