The extra virgin olive oil of GAEA from Kalamata region is certified for a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO / P.D.O.) according to EU standards. The product is entirely produced according to traditional recipes (prepared, processed and manufactured) within the Kalamata region and holds and retains its distinctive features, a symbol of the highest quality. Kalamata district, in the southwestern part of Peloponnese, overlooking the Ionian Sea, is a huge olive grove whose land generates the world's most popular world-famous olive groves. They are used only for the production of this high-grade cold-pressed olive oil. The fresh, green olives, selected from the Crowning variety, provide an exceptionally balanced oil with a unique taste rich in polyphenols and antioxidants extracted directly from olives by mechanical means.
