Grain Mode 2023
The grain regime in 2023 starts on 08.02. and ends on 17.02.2023.
The preparation:
Since the 10-day grain fasts are associated with a number of restrictions, it is good to prepare the body with lighter food, without meat, before the actual regimen. This preparation is useful for gradually adjusting to the more limited caloric intake that is to come, but also important for the alkaline-acid balance in the body. Suitable foods are lentils, bulgur, buckwheat, peas, rice, beans, etc.
Preparation traditionally begins 10 days before the actual mode, but it can be shorter according to the personal feeling of the fasting person. It is recommended at least 5 days before the actual regimen to completely limit the consumption of animal foods, including dairy.
The grain mode:
During the actual regimen, drink a lot of water - at least 1.5 liters per day or 30 ml each. per kilogram of weight. It is good that the water is warm - boiled or table water. It, as well as proper breathing, helps to compensate for the reduced caloric intake.
The food is precisely determined and is 100 g of wheat, 3 apples and 9 walnuts per day. Up to 3 spoons of honey can be added daily. No other food or drink is consumed, nor coffee, salt or sugar.
According to the regime's followers, wheat contains all the elements necessary to sustain life and provides much more energy than ground flour and baked goods. Wheat contains a large amount of fiber and antioxidants, it is rich in magnesium, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, as well as B vitamins. Apples are for the heart and walnuts for the brain.
Preparing the wheat:
For the regime, organic wheat or spelled are suitable, so that the food is as clean as possible. Whole grains of whole wheat are used, because it is in the shell of the wheat grain that the rich palette of useful substances is hidden.
There are two different versions of the regime when choosing and preparing wheat.
One version uses cracked wheat. From the previous evening, wash 100 g of wheat well and soak in 1 liter of hot water - preferably in a thermos or other container that retains heat. The container with the wheat and water is closed tightly and left until the morning.
In another version of the regime, raw wheat, suitable for germination, is used. Its preparation for consumption takes about 36 hours, i.e. for each specific day of the diet, the corresponding portion must be soaked at least a day and a half earlier. 100 grams of wheat for the corresponding day is poured into a clay pot with water at room temperature (about 22 degrees). The pot is covered, changing the water every 8-12 hours until it reaches the beginning of germination. If spelled is used instead of wheat, we have to keep in mind that it germinates in a shorter time, about 12 to 24 hours.
In the morning, wheat water is drunk on an empty stomach about 30 minutes before breakfast. A few drops of lemon can be added to it for a better taste. Wheat water is rich in nutrients and when drinking it is good to keep it in the mouth, to "chew".
The grain for the day is distributed in three parts - for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and it is best to keep the amount for the following meals in a thermos or another well-closed container. In the morning, one should have breakfast after sunrise, and in the evening to have dinner before sunset.
In addition to 1/3 of the wheat, an apple and three walnuts can be distributed around each of the three grain meals of the day. It is good that the individual foods - wheat, walnuts, apple - are consumed in an interval of about 30 minutes and not mixed, in order to avoid unpleasant effects such as fermentation in the stomach, bloating or constipation. Chew for a long time - according to teacher Danov's instructions, 99 times.
Drink a lot of water throughout the day, preferably warm, it can be flavored with lemon or honey. About an hour before each meal, drink 2 glasses of warm water. Drinking unsweetened chamomile and thyme herbal tea is also allowed.
Fasting (feeding):
At the end of the ten-day regime, it is very important that the feeding happens gradually and carefully.
On the tenth day at noon, Angel soup is added to the diet. It is prepared from peeled whole potatoes that are boiled in water without salt or spices. Parsley can be added after cooking. Eat the soup carefully, without overdoing it, because any overeating will stress the body.
In the following days, feeding continues with light lean food and gradual transition to the normal amounts for our body. The restriction from meat, alcohol and hard-to-process foods is good to continue for another 10 days. Abstinence from dairy foods is recommended to remain at least until the 5-6th day of feeding.
